...and the girl scout song comes in use

How's that song go.... "Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the others gold, make new friends, but keep the ollllllld one is silver and the others GOLD! - clearly that is all I can remember. I should have stayed a girlscout for one more year.

A great friend of mine from ECU, Kyle is moving to Indianapolis for a job promotion he got not long ago... He will be part of the start up team there, and while I am so sad to see him leave, I am so excited for him to begin this new chapter in his life! New city, and new friends aka (the silver ones in my girlscout song.)

In celebration of his job and to say goodbye we had a party for him and invited lots of friends over! Caroline, Wes, and I helped plan the shin dig and it was complete with ECU cornhole (in the garage... stupid cold) our "We'll miss you like a fat kid misses cake," a banner I made with supplies from work, a mini keg, and of course and awesome, tear jerker, gangster playing, hilarious slide show made by Caroline!! It completed the evening :)
WE WILL MISS YOU KYLEEEEEEEE!!!!

P.S. I seriously need help on how to move my pictures around on my posts... they won't move where I want them to go! All you natural born bloggers please help a girl out and let me know, comment below :)

My best friend said YES

Secrets secrets are no fun unless you share with EVERONE............

I had to keep the biggest secret of my life ever a few weeks ago (yes, fellow follower, i'm a tad bit late) Andrea Melanie and I went to my family's beach house in Sunset for a weekend to just get together, catch up, have wine, relax, and just be silly together! Mel and I promised Mason we wouldn't spill the beans and tell Andrea that he was going to propose the VERY NEXT weekend. It was quite difficult for me but I did it, guess i'll give my self a pat on the back for that one, Mase I know your proud! Here are a few pics from our 3blind mice weekend... which we have just made as not only an anual thing but a bi-anual event that will last forever and I'm sure will eventually include all of our other halves (thats the plan right God?! ha!)

And Finally I could open my mouth......... February 26th is when he popped the question and I suprised her in Columbia with family and friends to celebrate with very sweet toasts, cake, champagne, and of course tears (from me, go figure.... ) It was a BLAST and still so crazy and weird that My best friend is engaged and going through all the fun planning festivities.....

The funny thing about it is that when us three were in highschool we ALWAYS talked about how when we got "older" that:

A: "our husbands better love each other, because they will be seeing a lot of one another"

B: "Andrea would be first to get married, I would be second, and Melanie would be third" (so far the plan is right on track hahaha) Of course Mel's prediction was a little altered ;)
It is so funny to think back to those conversations and just laugh (ecspecially at letter B)

And the wedding planning begins.... CHEERS to the soon to be Mason and Andrea Snyder!!!!!!!

those pretty white things in your mouth

I KNOW MY TEETH ARE SMALL... If I didn't know any better I'd think that I havent lost my baby teeth yet, however I am 24 and positive that these are my adult teeth. A few days ago my roomate Caroline claims that my teeth are as small as her families Lab, "Gracie"...

I THINK NOT:

me... Gracie..... (well not really her, but you get the point)

a foreign headache

I am a HUGE fan of the sauna. It has become my "reward" after a good workout at the gym! (Dad, I know you can relate the most!) Sometimes I'll go on a Saturday, (like yesterday) just for the sauna. It is EXTREMELY rejuvenating. Not only does it relax you, which I enjoy the most but it cleanses your skin by sweating out impurities. It improves blood circulation, helps tense muscles, stimulates white blood cells (which helps your immune system)! Honestly it is amazing, you need to try it....

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The heaters in Saunas FIRST originated in Japan (I told yall the Japanese were smart, It must be all the fish they eat Ha.)

Yesterday I went to the sauna for all these reasons of course but mainly for relaxation.... It was great for about 5 minutes UNTIL...... 2 Mexican women come in and chat it up for about 20 minutes. I thought I was gonna lose it. Not only was it annoying I didnt know what they were saying because they were speaking Spanish at a 50mph speed, but I JUST WANTED TO SIT IN QUIET. There probably should be a sign on the door saying, NO TALKING. Yeah, I think thats a great idea. Anyways my American self just layed there patiently anticipating there leave, and when I had a feeling they weren't going to leave for a while, I thought, well I misewell brush up on my Spanish. So these are the words that I recognized from highschool (Thankyou Mrs. Ramizam for teaching me Spanish in Highschool, oh yeah, and sorry for talking to Andrea so much!):

hot, because, yes, no.... dang, I sware I thought I recognized more than that in their conversation, apparently not. Anyways that was yesterdays FOREIGN HEADACHE....

P.S. I dare ya to wear one of these SAUNA SUITS next time you sauna it up! I hear they are quite fashionable :)!

Dont Judge a "book" by its cover!

....So over the snow break, I took a quick peek at my checking account and thought it was a good time for me to get a hair cut. Off I went to Salon Blue, super excited to be a little pampered. I did know that the person going to cut my hair was named,(for blog sake, lets say SALLY.) I had never been to her before but it never really mattered to me who it was that would be going to cut my hair if I knew the Salon was good, right? At least that's how I think and at that time thought.

The receptionist at the front finally said, "Cameron, Sally will be right with you..."

Great I said and then moments later after Sally comes walking up this is what happens...
~Heart beat racing
~me thinking, "Am I at the right place?"
~Sweaty palms
~and finally an "OH DEAR GOD HELP ME" went through my head as I shook her hand.

All because this is what I saw:
I know this is a little girl or boy, heck I don't know... but picture this hair cut on Sally plus buzzed like a boy on the sides of her head, plus dyed pink, plus green plugs in her ears.

Now see, I judged my "book" by its cover, because Sally was the BEST hair dresser I have ever had. The woman knew what she was doing to say the least! I hope next time when I am faced with a new experience with a "book" I will remember this moment and remember not to judge it because it could be the best thing that has ever happened to me! Sally, love ya girl!

Going to read my real book in bed and get a good nights rest for another crazy and "fun" day at work tomorrow with my little children. God, please fill me with the fruits of the spirit while I am at work the rest of the week, I have a feeling it will be tough after such a LONG unplanned snow vaca!

xoxo
